Tucked just inside the entrance to the Museum, our tiny Shop carries a variety items from local history books to custom Museum teas; historic reproduction jewellery and Island made jewellery; objects with First Nations motifs and tsunami motifs (because the town was hit by a tsunami in 1964 – you can check out the Tsunami Exhibit on our On-line Resources page at playinpa.ca/online-resources/. You’ll also find cards, scarves, bags and more. The perfect place to pick up a unique gift, or a souvenir from your Museum visit. All proceeds from the Shop support the Alberni Valley Museum.
The Shop is open during regular Museum Hours. In 2020, we introduced curbside pickup as part of COVID-19 protection measures, and though it’s much more fun to browse through the Shop, curbside pickup is still available, if you choose. Contact us at our general email [email protected], with a phone number and the items you’re interested in – we’ll phone you back to confirm the details and do MC/Visa payment over the phone.
